I LOVE being a teacher. It is really all I ever wanted to do. Each day brings new challenges, new learning, and immense satisfaction. Fourth graders are full of energy, excitement, and wonder, and Our Lady's Academy is a special place. I know it is going to be a year of fantastic learning and growing.
I hold a Master's degree in Elementary Education and have been licensed with the state of Massachusetts since 1991.
Over the course of my teaching career, I have taught students in preschool through middle school. While I enjoy and appreciate all stages of learning and development, I most like working with students in the intermediate grades. I have worked in both public and private schools, and I truly feel that my place is in Catholic schools, where I teach children who come from families with similar values and God is part of our daily lives.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family. My own children are now 18 and 20 years old. My daughter is studying nursing at the University of Vermont, and my son is beginning his senior year in high school and all that it entails. My husband and I enjoy cooking, going on long walks, watching movies, and being silly together. And, of course, my family would not be complete without mentioning our four-legged member, Jasmine (AKA Jazz, Jazzy, Jazzmaster, Girlie...she will answer to anything, really, especially if treats are involved!).
I look forward to getting to know your families, specifically your fourth graders!
Thank you for entrusting your children to my care. They are blessings!
